Black Magic Margaritas

Created by: Lauren Saylor, A Fabulous Fete

With a few extra steps and ingredients, you can turn all of your favorite cocktail recipes into “spooky” versions for your upcoming Halloween parties. Margaritas are our go-to drinks for get-togethers. And since I didn’t want to stray too far from our favorite recipe, I just changed up the color to make it festive and just the right amount of creepy for the holiday.

  • 4 oz. tequila
  • Juice of 3 limes
  • 2 oz. orange juice
  • 1 oz. triple sec
  • 6-8 oz. sparkling water
  • Agave nectar to taste
  • Red, blue and green food coloring
  • Black salt for garnish
  1. Add tequila, lime juice, orange juice, triple sec, 3 drops of each color of food coloring and agave nectar to a shaker with ice and mix.
  2. Dip the rim of your serving glasses into a shallow plate of water and then into salt to create the black salted rim.
  3. Add ice to your glasses, strain the margarita, top with the sparkling water and serve.
